Guest experiences are important. Typically, guests expect a certain level and manner of service when staying at an Airbnb or another short-term rental accommodation. And they should. Often, guests choose to stay at vacation rentals rather than at local hotels in order to see travel through a more holistic and immersive lens. They want to feel welcomed, they want to feel local, and they want to feel at home.
Airbnb just launched Airbnb Plus - like all high-end homes, their goal is to ensure that your property meets the 100-point quality checklist - they aim to make sure that the Airbnb you pick for your next vacation won’t ruin your trip. These quality standards were established after a team of Airbnb employees interviewed several hundred of Airbnb’s top-rated hosts - to know how they keep their homes high standard, flawless, and top rated. They learned that they all had well-stocked homes and delivered a consistent experience to their guests. Making sure that the kitchen is stocked with cooking equipments and has a clean refrigerator with no damage. Bedrooms that guests stay in have an ironing board, a closet, drawers and beds with soft, clean bedding and comfortable mattresses. The also want to make sure that the bathroom has cabinets which are free of personal items, the shower, tiles and floors don’t have cracks or dirt, and there are two sets of towels, has toiletries which includes shampoo.
Airbnb has changed the way we travel, allowing us to find affordable places to stay just about anywhere we go. If people have options to go for the best, why wouldn't they? The best guest experience happens not only in hotels - most of the time, it's just at home. Stay tuned, Airbnb Plus has not launched in South Florida yet, but should soon enough...
