Whether you are on a business trip, weekend getaway, or vacationing in L.A. the options for "where to at" are rather exciting, to say the least. According to a local I spoke with, you CANNOT leave L.A. without heading to Cole's French Dip restaurant downtown. Cole’s, Originator of the French Dip Sandwich, opened in 1908 in the Pacific Electric building. Adorning the vintage red wallpapered walls, you can also get a brief history lesson with all of the historic photos. Wait till you see the famous Red Car Bar housing premium spirits, drafts, and crafty cocktails to go along with your French Dip. "I don't even like French Dip sandwiches but somehow theirs is AMAZING!" If you can make me love something I don't even like, you won my vote! On top of a delicious food menu, the drinks are even better! Cole's features a happy hour Monday through Friday from 5pm to 8pm with FIVE DOLLAR DRINKS! It's the PERFECT time to sample the "ridiculously awesome" French dips and garlic fries. AND it's only about 10 minutes from our L.A. rental! Whether you are passing through or staying for a few days, don't leave without stopping by Cole's, your taste buds will thank you.
