Deemed "Southern California's gateway to the cosmos," you can see the most spectacular views of L.A. and catch some shows while you're there too. The Griffith Observatory is located right on the southern slope of Mount Hollywood, giving you the perfect view of the famous Hollywood sign. An art deco building, much resembling an Indian palace, this gathering spot for tourists and locals is a historic, astrological monument. You can catch workshops, planetarium shows, view outer space through one of their multiple telescopes, and much more.
